NEET Counselling 2020: MCC postpones registration of 2nd round

NEET Counselling 2020: The Medical Counselling Committee has postponed the registration process for second round of NEET-UG counselling. The round 2 registration process was scheduled to begin from November 18 will now begin from November 20.

This has been done due to seats reserved for Wards of Insured Persons (IP Quota) being added in the seat matrix of Round-2 and resultant revision of seat matrix, according to the official notice.

Moreover, the seat surrender facility for candidates who want to surrender their first round seats has been reopened and it will remain available till 5 pm of November 19.

2nd Round MCC NEET 2020 Counselling: Important instructions

Candidates may please note that as per the directives of the Supreme Court, “After the second round of counselling for All India Quota seats, the students who take admission in All India Quota seats should not be allowed/ permitted to vacate the seats.” As per the order,

‘The students who take admission and secure admission in Deemed Universities pursuant to the second round of counselling conducted by the DGHS shall not be eligible to participate in any other counselling.’ In other words, students would not be allowed to participate in any Counselling after joining in Second Round of AIQ.

If you are allotted a seat in Second Round in AIQ/ Deemed Counselling, you can Exit with Forfeiture of security amount. Following candidates are eligible to apply for 2nd Round of Counselling

Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotment in the 1st round Registered candidates who have secured seat under reserved quota & whose 1st round of allotted seat got cancelled during the document verification on reporting for admission will be considered for allotment of seat in the next round of seat allotment, with changed Category, subject to availability of seat in respective category. Candidates who have reported at allotted institute during 1st round of allotment and submitted willingness for second round up-gradation as Yes.

Candidates who have been allotted a seat but Not Joined. Candidates who have resigned from the allotted seat of first round at college.a Cndidates need to register fresh for Round

2. There is no automatic carry over. All those who had participated in Round 1 and now wish to continue for Round 2 need to register fresh. Choices which were filled during 1st round of choice filling will be null & void and candidates are required to provide fresh choices when they register for Round 2 of NEET Counselling 2020.
