NEET Result 2020: NTA (National Testing Agency releases NEET results on their official website  After the announcement of neet results online, Aspirants will be able to check their Subjectwise Percentile scores in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The Cut off scores for each category will also be announced along with neet Your AIR (All India Rank) will also be announced, which is a significant factor for seat allocation during NEET-UG 2020 counseling.

After the neet 2020 results release date, MCC (Medical counselling committee)  will organise online counselling for 15% All India Quota seats. The remaining 85% state quota seats will be filled by state students via respective state authorities.

This year NEET results are expected to be announced within a span of 15-20 days after NEET 2020 exam conduction. There are a total of 180 questions. 45-45 each in Physics and Chemistry and 90 Questions in the Biology section. For each correct answer you are awarded +4 marks

For each wrong answer, -1 mark is given

For Unattempted Question – No score is Given

Based on the above scenario your marks are calculated out of 720 & that is what appear in your neet results by name.

Tie Breaker Criteria in NEET

In case two candidates score the exact same marks then the following tie-breaking criteria is applied to give a unique All India Rank to each candidate. That too, according to merit only.

  • The candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test are placed higher in the merit.
  • If marks scored in the biology section same then, The marks obtained by the candidate in the Chemistry section is taken into account to break the tie.
  • If the tie is still not resolved, then the candidates with less number of attempted wrong answers in all the subjects in the Test shall be ranked higher in the merit.
  • If still tie is not broken. Finally, Age is taken into the account. This means that candidates older in age are preferred over the younger candidate.

Re-evaluation of NEET 2020 Result

In no circumstances, your NEET results can be re-evaluated. However, NTA releases the scanned OMR sheet of each candidate before releasing the results. In case you have an issue with that, you can raise a ticket. But after NEET Results are announced NTA won’t recheck your paper at any cost.

What after neet results?

After neet results download 2020, MCC will conduct online counselling to allot seats based on the merit scores. NEET Cutoff is declared by MCC for 15% All India Quota seats.

For 85% State Quota seats, respective state authorities are responsible for the NEET counselling. For eg. In Delhi ( DU and IPU) releases the Delhi neet cutoff for state quota students.
