NEET SCAM / CB- CID released pictures of students involved in NEET scam, got second place examination

Crime Branch- The Crime Investigation Department (CB CID) has released pictures of medical students involved in NEET scam which surfaced in September 2019.

The CB CID on Tuesday released photos of ten such people whose exam was replaced by another. The entire case is from a medical college in Tamil Nadu, where the issue of taking the exam instead of the other one came up for the first time.

Police asked for information from the public

The CB CID has been investigating the neet scam ever since the matter came to light. After which, the CB CID has now made public the photos of suspected copywriters who have appeared for NEET exams for these candidates of Tamil Nadu state on Tuesday.

Two women are also among the total 10 photos released. Also, the police has also asked the public to identify them on 9443884395 or give information on [email protected]

Theni Medical College case

The scam in Tamil Nadu came to light in September last year. A medical student of Theni Medical College, KV Udit Surya, complained for not matching the candidate who had come to the exam to get a picture on the NEET card. After which investigation revealed that Surya had failed twice in NEET. He had recently chosen Mumbai as the examination center, where a proxy had written his exam.

14 people arrested

Surya’s doctor father Venkatesan, worked at Government Stanley Hospital, who had been hiding since the incident with his son. Police arrested both of them from Tirupati.

In the case, the police registered a case under sections 120 (b) (criminal conspiracy), 419 (fraud) and 420 (fraud and dishonest delivery of property) of the Indian Penal Code. At the same time, 14 people have been arrested in the case so far.

At present, the investigation of this case is going on, whose wires can be connected to other corners of the country.
